Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#58835) with specialties in Family Counseling and Trauma Treatment. She has a background in utilizing Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) to support parents and children in their healing process.
After completing her Master’s in Social Work at Stephen F. Austin State University, Lauren began work in child welfare for a foster care and adoption agency. Over the next 8 years she worked closely with numerous families in navigating the dynamics of childhood trauma. Her experience spans work with foster and adoptive families as well as relative caregivers seeking to meet the needs of children with an array of traumatic experiences in their background. Lauren has a special interest in communication issues, attachment theory, and supporting families in adjusting to changes in dynamics and other life issues. She believes in meeting a family where they are and identifying shared values in that system to help navigate towards a better understanding of each other.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys reading, baking and spending time with her husband and three children.
