Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a current first responder. She comes from a family full of Veterans and First Responders. Tiffany specializes in helping fellow First Responders, Veterans, and their family members while understanding the limitations of shift work schedules for clients. As a mother, Tiffany also has a fondness for working with young children in a play therapy setting. She works with ages 4 years+.
Tiffany obtained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Sam Houston State University. Her counseling experiences are through different therapeutic office settings such as court mandated clients for Drug, DUI Court, and Veterans Court, in-patient care for Veterans, facilitating groups and family sessions, helping parents build skills in parenting and co-parenting during visitations, local adolescent youth shelter counseling, private practice individual sessions, and helping First Responder coworkers during trauma-induced incidents at work. She is a National Board Certified Counselor who is also certified in Critical Incident Desensitization & Processing and Acute Traumatic Incident Processing. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Processing (EMDR). Tiffany’s counseling specialties include, but are not limited to, Individual counseling, Trauma counseling, addiction, acute stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, anger management, suicidal ideation, grief and loss, impulsivity, and parenting/co-parenting skills. She uses a mixture of Cognitive, Behavioral, and Affective counseling techniques to focus clients during sessions on their counseling goals and individual needs. She facilitates practical coping strategies, grounding techniques, mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, and self-regulation to assist clients in their personal and professional settings.
Tiffany sees Aetna, BCBS PPO, Cigna, and UHC clients in-network and is also accepting private pay clients.
