When parents disagree with the results of special education testing completed by the school district an Independent Educational Evaluation can be requested. This is an evaluation completed at the district’s expense by a competent evaluator not employed by the school district.
Dr. Reyes-McDonald is available to complete Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) in the greater Houston area. She is a School Psychologist with many years of experience doing IEEs and private practice evaluations. Dr. Reyes-McDonald includes school observations as part of the IEEs and provides a comprehensive report of her findings. The report is reviewed with the parent and with school staff.
