Dr. Gracie Reyes-McDonald

Dr. Gracie Reyes-McDonald is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology with extensive training and experience in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents of diverse backgrounds. She majored in Psychology at Baylor University, earned her Master of Arts in School Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and earned her doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Houston, where she completed research on the reading development of Spanish-speaking English language learners. She has over 16 years of experience working in public schools, with additional training experiences completed at the Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital and the Mental Health and Mental Retardation Authority (MHMRA) of Harris County.

Dr. Reyes-McDonald specializes in autism spectrum disorder assessment and intervention, emotional and behavioral assessment (ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, selective mutism, behavioral problems), assessment of learning disorders (including dyslexia), and behavioral intervention. Dr. Reyes-McDonald’s goals in working with families are to identify the child/adolescent’s strengths and weaknesses and to provide recommendations to address areas of weakness while recognizing areas of strength. In addition, Dr. Reyes-McDonald is available to complete Independent Educational Evaluations. These evaluations are completed utilizing a best-practice approach to assessment and include a classroom observation. For parents outside of The Woodlands area, Independent Educational Evaluations can be completed locally to the family.
