Dr. Gracie Reyes-McDonald, PhD

Dr. Gracie Reyes-McDonald is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Psychologist (#36546) and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (#32545) with extensive training and experience in the assessment and treatment of children/adolescents of diverse backgrounds. She majored in Psychology at Baylor University, earned her Master of Arts in School Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and earned her doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Houston, where she completed research on the reading development of Spanish-speaking English language learners. She has over 20 years of experience working in public schools, with additional training experiences completed at the Meyer Center for Developmental Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital and at what is now known as The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD, where she gained additional training and experience in testing and working with autistic children and adults.

Dr. Reyes-McDonald specializes in autism assessment, emotional and behavioral assessment (ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, selective mutism, behavioral problems), assessment of learning disorders (including dyslexia), and behavioral intervention. Dr. Reyes-McDonald’s goals in working with families are to identify the child/adolescent’s strengths and weaknesses and to provide recommendations to address areas of weakness while recognizing areas of strength. In her spare time, Dr. Reyes-McDonald enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Dr. Reyes-McDonald is in-network with Aetna and Cigna and is accepting self-pay clients. Dr. Reyes-McDonald is accepting contracts for Independent Education Evaluation through the school districts.
