Dr. Bridgett Tate

Dr. Bridgett Tate is a Licensed Psychologist (#40067), with training and experience in assessing and treating children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Potsdam, a Master of Science in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a doctorate in Adolescent Clinical Psychology from Prairie View A&M University. Her doctoral research focused on biracial identity formation and behavioral challenges related to parental attachment.

With eight years of experience in community mental health, specializing in working with children and adolescents, Dr. Tate has completed additional training at Aspire Inpatient Hospital for acute crises, The Adolescent Center for therapy and assessment services, and Family Forward, which specializes in assessing and treating acute developmental trauma using the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics.

Dr. Tate’s areas of specialization include affirming autism assessment, emotional and behavioral assessment (ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, and behavioral problems), and behavioral intervention. Her goal is to empower positive change and growth in her clients. Combining Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatosensory interventions, and insights from the Neurosequential Model of Brain Development, she equips individuals with the skills and self-awareness to confidently navigate life’s challenges and lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. Dr. Tate is dedicated to fostering a therapeutic alliance that cultivates resilience, promotes healing, and nurtures lasting transformation. Together, she and her clients embark on a journey of self-discovery, exploration, and empowerment to unlock the full potential of well-being.
